WE Knife Bogey WE23088: An Air Force-Inspired Blacked-Out Folder, Limited to 200 Pieces

WE KnifeSeptember 6, 2026Source: WE Knife Co.

WE Knife Co.'s military-themed limited series keeps expanding, and the newest member is the one that disappears into the dark. The Bogey โ€” WE23088 in the catalog โ€” is a fully blacked-out folder that turns in a 3.64-inch reverse tanto in black stonewashed Bohler M390, riding in black titanium from handle to clip. It is currently live in WE Knife's new-arrivals rotation at $350, serialized, and limited to 200 pieces with a signed certificate of authenticity included. For collectors tracking the brand's Armed Forces-inspired collection, this is the run's stealth specialist.

The build leans into the Air Force vibe from every angle. The 6AL4V titanium handle, liners, backspacer, and pocket clip are all black, with a black stonewashed flat grind on the blade setting up a monochrome package that will not reflect light at the wrong moment. Deployment is a two-way street: the Bogey opens with a low-profile flipper or an oversized thumb hole, and the action rides on caged ceramic ball bearings with a nested liner lock keeping things tidy. At 4.72 ounces and 8.32 inches overall, it is a solid mid-weight carry rather than a pocket queen.

What pushes the Bogey past mere blackout is the machining WE is known for. The handle carries the sculpted, chamfered detailing that defines the series, and the titanium build means every visible part โ€” screws included โ€” matches the blacked-out brief. M390 at 58 to 60 HRC is the same powder-metallurgy workhorse WE has used across the whole Armed Forces series, which is the right call for a knife that is meant to be carried, not museum-pinned. The flat grind keeps the reverse tanto's geometry slicing efficiently despite the beefy .16-inch stock.

Limited to 200 serialized examples, the Bogey is the kind of release that rewards a decision rather than a debate. WE's previous limited drops in this series moved steadily once collectors clocked the serialization and certificates, and the blacked-out flavor gives this one a distinct identity next to the olive and terrain-color siblings already on the site. If a 3.6-inch M390 folder with an Air Force heritage and a 200-piece run sounds like your kind of grail, the smart move is not waiting for a restock that will not come.
