Kansept's Budget Link Keeps the Triple Stripe Design for $69.99

KanseptSeptember 22, 2026Source: Kansept Knives

Kansept has spent 2026 widening its catalog at both ends, and the new budget Link is the clearest example of the strategy: take a designer collaboration that already exists, strip the price of entry, and keep the geometry that made it worth making. The original Link came from Triple Stripe Knives. This version preserves the design language and swaps in materials that cost less.

The blade is a compound-ground harpoon with subtle tanto shaping โ€” a profile that pairs a keen point and a thin cutting edge for piercing and slicing with a reinforced forward section for light prying-adjacent tasks. Steel is 14C28N, the Swedish stainless that has become the default answer for budget knives that still want respectable performance. It sharpens quickly, resists staining, and takes a very fine edge, which is why it shows up in so many knives at this price. A Damascus option is also listed for buyers who want pattern rather than performance.

Deployment is where the Link earns its keep. Kansept gives it three independent opening methods โ€” a front flipper, a large opening hole and thumb studs โ€” which is unusual in a $69.99 folder and makes the knife genuinely fidget-friendly. The handle is contoured and tapered, with a neutral profile and a forward choil for control when choking up. The lock is a top liner lock, which leaves the spine side of the handle clean and works the same in either hand.

Kansept is selling this as a budget edition, and the Zombie Blood variant โ€” green aluminum with blood-red splatter โ€” is clearly aimed at the Halloween window. US pre-orders ship from the company's domestic warehouse beginning October 10, which means buyers who order now get expedited domestic delivery rather than a long overseas wait.

At $69.99 the Link lines up against some of the strongest value folders in the market. The honest read is that the steel is ordinary, the size is moderate, and the value proposition rests entirely on the triple deployment plus the designer pedigree. Plenty of competing knives in that bracket offer one opening method and less interesting geometry. Whether that matters depends on how much time you spend opening and closing a knife versus cutting with it โ€” and for a lot of enthusiasts, the honest answer is quite a lot.

Pre-order windows close before stock lands in the US warehouse โ€” check current Link pricing and variant availability.
