Kizer's Findo Is a $75 AEB-L Clip Point for Lefties Too

KizerNovember 3, 2026Source: Kizer Knives

Kizer's 2026 run of new models has been heavy on exotic steels and louder handles, so the Findo reads almost like a palate cleanser. It is a 7.4-inch folder with a 3.07-inch clip point in AEB-L, a 0.12-inch stock, a Kizer Clutch Lock, and a $74.96 asking price. The designer is Maksim Epifantsev, and the naming story on Kizer's page is worth one line: the knife is meant to be the practical half of a "find and do" philosophy, which in plain terms means it should be the one you actually carry rather than the one you photograph.

The specifications back that up. Weight lands at 2.77 ounces for the satin and blue-purple versions, 2.84 ounces for the black PVD and black-and-grey versions. The handle is vortex-pattern micarta at 4.33 inches, which is long enough for a full four-finger grip on most hands, and the deep-carry clip is fully reversible for left or right pocket carry. Kizer also color-matches the backspacer and thumb studs, a small detail that separates the Findo from the generic black-folder shelf.

AEB-L is the interesting choice. It is a Swedish stainless that sharpens on a coffee mug in a pinch, holds a fine edge at 59 HRC, and resists chipping better than the 8Cr and 14C28N class blades that usually sit at this price. It is not a high-vanadium steel, so it will not out-slice CPM-20CV on a long cardboard session, but it takes a keener edge and touches up faster. For a knife built around daily utility, that trade is the right one, and the flat grind leaves enough behind the edge to survive light prying.

Compared with Kizer's own Drop Bear 2.9, the Findo gives up M390 and a crossbar-style lock in exchange for a lighter, slimmer package and a lower price. Against a CIVIVI Elementum, you get a longer blade, a bigger handle, and a button-actuated lock, at roughly the same money. The Clutch Lock is the one thing to test in hand: it is a button-actuated liner lock, and the detent feel varies between units.

Verdict: a sensible 2.8-ounce AEB-L folder with ambidextrous carry at a price that leaves room for the sheath-light crowd to add a second one. If you want a knife that disappears in a pocket and does not need babying, this is the version of the Findo to buy.
