Jonathan Styles is new to Kizer's designer roster, and the Torngat is his calling card: an irregularly arched titanium frame, three connecting grooves milled into the handle, and a tanto blade in S35VN. At $95.40 the Ki3625A1 is the cheapest way into a titanium-frame Kizer with a premium powder steel, and it does not look like anything else in the catalog.
The build: 7.99 inches overall, a 3.35-inch tanto at 0.12 inch stock in S35VN, a 4.65-inch 6AL4V titanium handle, a titanium frame lock, a deep-carry clip, and 3.84 ounces. S35VN holds an edge noticeably longer than 154CM and resists staining better than 3V, which makes this the most balanced steel in Kizer's current mid-tier. The tanto grind is the polarizing part โ excellent for scoring and scraping, awkward for slicing food โ and the blue-gray two-tone finish leans futuristic in a way that will either sell the knife or put you off.
Compare it with the Agressor at $62.30 and you are paying roughly $33 for titanium, a frame lock instead of a liner, S35VN instead of 3V, and a thumb hole instead of a front flipper. Compare it with Kizer's Hyper at $111.30 and the Hyper's detachable aluminum handle and concealed clip buy you a lighter, more mechanically interesting knife, but aluminum is not titanium and the frame lock on the Torngat is the more confidence-inspiring lockup.
Verdict: the sleeper of Kizer's titanium lineup. $95.40 for S35VN and a full titanium frame is aggressively priced in 2026, and the tanto gives it a purpose beyond looking sharp in photos. Buy it if you want a hard-working titanium folder; skip it if you need a slicer.
The three grooves milled into the handle are the detail worth checking in person. They are not decoration: they break up the titanium surface where the lock bar meets the frame, and on a frame lock that contact area is what keeps the lock from walking. S35VN at 58-60 HRC behind a 3.35-inch tanto also gives you a tip that will take real scraping without folding, which is more than most folders in this price band can claim.
