Microtech Deploys Full DLC-Coated Ultratech — Stealth OTF Gets Even Darker

Microtech Knives has released a fully DLC-coated version of their iconic Ultratech OTF (Out-The-Front) automatic. This "stealth" configuration takes the already popular Ultratech and applies a black DLC coating to every external surface, creating a dramatically dark and cohesive look.

The Ultratech features a 3.4-inch double-edged dagger blade ground from M390 stainless steel. In this configuration, the blade wears a full DLC coating that eliminates reflections and provides additional corrosion resistance. The single-action OTF mechanism deploys with Microtech's signature snap and retracts manually via the slide mechanism on the handle.

The handle is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with a black DLC coating matching the blade. The aluminum body keeps the knife lightweight despite its robust construction. The pocket clip is also DLC-coated and configured for right-handed, tip-down carry (though left-handed users can reposition the clip).

Microtech's Ultratech is one of the most recognized OTF knives on the market, and this all-black configuration has been a frequently requested variant among enthusiasts. It competes directly with Benchmade's Infidel and Guardian Tactical's Recon series, but the full DLC treatment gives this Ultratech a distinctive look that sets it apart from the competition.
