Vosteed's 154CM Porcupine ModSwap Is Half Off Before a Stacking Code

VosteedOctober 5, 2026Source: r/BudgetBlades

Vosteed has spent the year building a reputation for shipping genuinely interesting designs at prices that undercut the premium brands, and the Porcupine ModSwap is the clearest example of that strategy. A post on r/BudgetBlades this week flags the 154CM ModSwap versions at half price before coupon, with code Edgewise24 taking another ten per cent off.

The ModSwap name refers to the platform's party trick: the handle scales are swappable. Vosteed sells the knife as a complete package and also lists handle scale kits separately, with prices running from $45 for micarta up to $85 for Fatcarbon, plus a free 3D print file for anyone who wants to make their own. That is an unusual amount of ecosystem for a sub-$100 knife, and it changes the ownership proposition. Instead of buying a second knife when you want a different look, you buy a set of scales.

The knife itself is a crossbar lock with a 3.08-inch 154CM blade, listed at $89.99 in the brand's own store. That puts a stacking discount in genuinely interesting territory, since 154CM is a solid all-round stainless with good toughness and adequate edge retention for daily carry. The comparison is against Vosteed's own Porcupine line, which includes the 2.99-inch 14C28N base model at $69 and the titanium TiSlim versions at $139 and up in 154CM or S90V. The ModSwap sits in the middle of that ladder and brings the scale-swapping feature that none of the others have.

The caveat with any coupon-stacked budget deal is timing and stock. Promotional codes have expiry dates, and the discount usually applies to specific variants rather than the whole line. Buyers should confirm the blade steel on the listing matches the 154CM version before applying the code, because the Porcupine family spans several steels with meaningfully different prices. If the numbers hold up at checkout, this is one of the better value propositions in the budget market right now.
