WE Knife's Nexomorph Morphs From Push Blade to Folder

WE KnifeNovember 1, 2026Source: WE Knife

A knife that changes shape is a party trick until it locks. WE Knife has made one before under the CIVIVI label, the Typhoeus, which switched between a push blade and a fixed blade and needed a sheath for the second half of its life. The Nexomorph does the harder thing: it morphs between push dagger and folding knife, and when it is in folding mode it actually closes like a folder.

That is the advance that matters. The Nexomorph carries a full button lock system, so in folder form it is a legitimate 2.95-inch EDC knife for boxes, cordage and an apple, and in push-blade form it is a straight, forward-piercing tool with a grip axis behind the blade. Blade steel is M390, WE's long-standing default supersteel, and the whole thing weighs 4.28 ounces.

Push daggers are a specialist shape. The blade comes out of the top of the fist, which means a thrust travels straight down the forearm instead of breaking at the wrist, and that is why the form shows up in self-defense and in any task where you want to push a point through something resistant. The downside has always been carry: a fixed push dagger needs a sheath, and a sheath is a piece of gear people leave at home. Eliminating the sheath is the entire commercial argument here.

At $540 for the sample build, the Nexomorph is priced as a mechanism, not as a knife. Compare it with WE's own Tiercel at $240 for a conventional MagnaCut folder, or with a Benchmade SOCP fixed blade in the same role for less. What you are paying for is the transformation and the manufacturing tolerance that makes it safe in both modes, and for a collector that is a fair trade.

Verdict: buy it as an engineering object that also cuts, or if you specifically want a push dagger that disappears into a pocket. Skip it if you want one good EDC knife for the money, because at $540 a conventional folder buys better steel, a lighter carry and no compromise in either mode.
