WE Knife's Suisei Runs From $350 to $527 in One Model

WE KnifeOctober 8, 2026Source: WE Knife

The Suisei is one of those WE Knife models that shows how far a single design can stretch once inlay work enters the room. The storefront lists four configurations sharing a 3.28-inch Bohler M390 blade and a 6AL4V titanium frame, with prices running from $350 to $527, and every dollar of the spread goes into material rather than function.

Start with the steel, because it does not change. M390 is a Bohler powder-metallurgy stainless with very high vanadium content, and it is the reference point for edge retention in production folders: it holds a working edge extremely well and resists corrosion, at the cost of being harder to sharpen and slightly less tough than MagnaCut or S35VN. At 3.28 inches this is a compact knife carrying a steel most people associate with much larger and much more expensive ones, and the cuts it makes will not differ between the $350 version and the $527 version.

What changes is the dress. The black titanium version with red and black carbon fibre inlay is $350, the gray titanium version with Jungle Wear FatCarbon inlay is $385, the dark graphite with black and white carbon fibre is $350, and the polished bead blasted titanium version with Timascus inlay - a layered titanium damascus - is $527. Those are finish decisions: the colour of the anodising, the depth of the inlay pattern, and how the light behaves across the handle.

That is worth saying plainly rather than treating as a flaw. The premium production market buys exactly this, and WE's fit and finish on titanium framelocks is the reason the brand competes with American mid-tech makers on the knives people can actually get hold of. If you want a Suisei to carry, the $350 configurations are the rational purchase and will feel identical in hand to the expensive one. If the Timascus is the reason you want it, buy that version, because inlay work at this level rarely appears on discount.
