Benchmade Adamas Marbled Carbon Fiber: The Fifth MagnaCut Edition Is the Finest Yet

BenchmadeAugust 31, 2026Source: Gear Patrol

At the beginning of July, Benchmade reintroduced its legendary Adamas tactical knife with a MagnaCut blade, and the response was strong enough that the brand kept going. The Adamas MagnaCut line has now grown to five editions, and the newest — the Adamas Marbled Carbon Fiber, with its automatic counterpart — is the first to move beyond the G-10 handles used across the July releases. Gear Patrol calls it potentially the finest Adamas yet, and the reasoning starts with the handle.

The black-and-gray marbled carbon fiber scales change the knife in more ways than one. Visually, they push the Adamas' styling into a territory the tactical original never occupied — the marbled pattern gives each knife a slightly different face, and the carbon fiber reads as premium in a way G-10 cannot. Functionally, carbon fiber is lighter and stiffer than the G-10 it replaces, which shifts the balance of a knife already known for its robust presence. It is a rare case where a material swap improves both the look and the handling.

Under the handle, the Adamas keeps everything that made the MagnaCut redux a hit: the full-size blade in CPM MagnaCut, Benchmade's premium stainless with an excellent balance of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance, plus the AXIS lock that has defined the brand for decades. The automatic version, the 2750-06, offers the same package with push-button deployment for buyers in jurisdictions where autos are legal — and, as Gear Patrol notes, the legality of automatic knives varies by region, so check local law before ordering.

Five editions in, the Adamas MagnaCut line is doing something smart: it is giving collectors reasons to own more than one version of the same knife. The marbled carbon fiber edition is the clearest case yet — it is different enough in character to justify its own slot in a collection, and for a single-knife owner it is the best-looking Adamas Benchmade has shipped in this generation.
